Merry Merry

I survived my third Christmas in Spain! I say ¨survived¨ because, lets face it, it´s not home! It was 65 degrees and raining, so it doesn´t FEEL like Christmas and I miss family and friends of course!

We did the whole leave cookies for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer, and we were tracking his sleigh on the internet, but I still don´t think N gets it. Maybe next year she will. Nevertheless, it was still fun to watch her open all of her gifts and she pretty much loved all of them.

When she woke up this morning she asked me if there were more. -HA

I think next year when she is four will be amazing because she will probably ¨get it¨ a little bit more.

So much to be thankful for and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

Cheers to a wonderful new year to come!

My cutie.

I have a feeling that Christmas is going to be a lot of fun this year with this little princess. Yesterday we had her school play and she was the MOON front and center! ha. She did a good job, and it was all just a lot of dancing and singing. Very cute. I admit, I did tear up a little bit. My baby is so big!

Here she is all ready for her Christmas party at school today. I will admit, I was a bit nervous about her starting school this year and thought that they started really young in Spain to go full time, but she loves it so..if she is happy we are happy.

I´m not wearing socks to bed and it´s December

There is something seriously wrong with this picture. I feel like it´s Spring and even though there is holiday decor all around I am constantly forgetting that Christmas is only six days away. Good things all of our presents are bought and wrapped, but still. Just. Too. Weird.

This will be my third Christmas in Spain for the past 9 that I have lived here. I need snow, Christmas music, cookies and glorious food.

I will just have to make the best of it!

I am indeed excited to see my almost four year old´s face light up on Christmas morning.

At least that will be the same no matter where we celebrate.

PS: Happy 6th Birthday to my nephew Charlie. SIX! Wow. Time really does fly!

33!

Well, yesterday was my 33rd birthday. I cannot believe it really. Here in Spain there is a holiday every year around my birthday so we decided to jet set to England. I have friends that live in the Liverpool area that I have known for 15 years now. Hard to believe how fast time flies.

I was expecting it to be absolutely freezing, but to my surprise it was not too bad. I was even without a coat at one point!

It was fun to see the city and enjoy  all of the Christmas goodness. And of course to spend time with friends and to see some new faces.

I can´t believe I am 33. I am not where I thought I would be at 33. I thought I would be in the USA with a few kids and a full time job. But, God had other plans for me and here I am in SPAIN all the way across the ocean, with one beautiful daughter and a great husband.

Other than my cake looking like a fire hazard, it was a pretty great day and it´s going to be an even better year.

Thanks to everyone who wished me a great day and I love you all!
