soap? What´s that?

Hey there friends.

Well. I´ve been busy. Getting things stollen. Like my daughter´s stroller and my bike.

I´ve also been busy getting in fights with people that work here because they have no hygiene.

The lady that works at the sandwich shop took the money, then started to make my sandwich. I asked her if she had to wear gloves or at least wash her hands first. Apparently not.

I liked when the other guy a different day, at a different store was packaging ham, took my money, then continued packaging ham.

NO HYGIENE. No wonder I get stomach flu every week. GROSS!

Did I mention I am ready to GO to the USA in SEVEN days! Yipee. July 4 cannot come soon enough.

Busy with work, flat, daughter etc.

Cannot wait for VACATION!!!

Holy busy town!
We are in the midst of moving, packing, working, hotness, and sweaty ness.

Phew.

We also had a meeting the other day for miss N´s school in the fall. So weird. I´m dying. How can my baby be going to school? In Spain? Speaking in Spanish?

Also, yesterday someone stole our 250 euro stroller. So, that´s a nice added bonus.

I had A take it down the stairs since I was leaving in the next ten minutes (but our building is locked and you must have  a key to get in). So, I went down the stairs and it was gone. Really?

Oh, that´s a nice added bonus to all of the other CRAP we are going through!

I suppose there could be worse things...

Estate Sale.

Yesterday was my grandparents estate sale.

Property, houses, tractors, tools, furniture, you name it..........it had to go.

My grandparents lived in Attica, Indiana on a beautiful piece of land built next to a creek and a covered bridge.

I have so many memories from their town and their house.

When we were little my cousins and I used to wade in the creek and look for bugs, worms, etc. Such an adventure when you are small.

I can see my grandmother in the kitchen making her delicious pies or us sitting at  the table playing card games. She loved cards and she was a tough cookie to beat!

Or, I can see my grandpa sitting in his rocking chair reading the evening paper.

We used to ride bikes and see how fast we could go down the hill or feed the neighbors dog a hot dog when it came over for a visit. I´m sure they loved that.

I went to their house last summer and I didn´t know it would be the last time I´d watch the humming birds feed from the kitchen window, or see a deer looking for his dinner, or rock in my grandmother´s chair enjoying the view.

It´s the end of an era. A day that we knew we would have to face sometime but you pray that day never comes.

The most vivid image I have is of my grandparents standing in the driveway waving goodbye as we would head home from another lovely visit.

I can´t believe they are gone.

Good thing I have memories to last me a lifetime.

Classic

One of the highlights of my life so far...

A squeezing a zit on my back and Nora then asking ¨Is that butter or cream cheese?¨
