Dear Nora Lindsay,
Today you are three months old and I am in disbelief at how big you are. You weigh a little over 16 lbs. and everyone in the street thinks you are at least 5 months old. You have so many rolls I've lost count and that belly! I think it has its own zip code by now!!!!!There is hope however that one day you might actually be athletic because you are so strong and constantly moving those arms and legs around.
You've started to sprout hair which is adorable and it looks like mama's color. For now we can't tell if it's curly or straight. You also like to pull my hair which hurts like heck!
You are not too fond of loud noises and you scare very easily. The other day you were chilling on your dads lap and he sneezed....you cried HARD for a good ten minutes. Poor little lamb.
You are also quite the actress. One minute you are laughing and the next you are crying.
You have definitely discovered your hands and they are usually in your mouth 99 percent of the time! Sometimes you put your whole hand in your mouth and you spit up you must stick it so far down your throat! We've tried to give you pacifiers but you hate those and spit them out immediately. We laugh because lots of time it looks like you are " chewing gum" and we joke that it must be a good piece of juicy fruit.
I've noticed that you put your thumb between your middle finger and index finger to relax....just like your mama!
You had your first cold this past month which was pretty sad. Your eyes were watery and you needed extra cuddle time. I must admit, even your little cough was cute.
You have been sleeping like a champion and we couldn't be happier! Most nights you are asleep by 1030pm and then you wake up anywhere between 6-8am. You eat and then wake up at 10am. Not too shabby for a three month old!
You are playing more and more each day and you finally like your bouncy chair. Sometimes I lay you in the middle of our bed while I'm getting ready in the morning and I hear you laughing from the other room. Most of the time you are staring at our closet or a picture on the wall. Maybe they talk to you while mama isn't in the room?
I read to you every night and I think you really like books. You get really quiet and check out all of the pictures and sounds. I just ordered you 15 or so new books for your library! I hope you like them!
This month you also got your little passport for our trip in July. Not many people can say they have dual passports at age three months! You have the cutest little photo too!
You still LOVE to be outside and I'm not quite sure what we would have done if you would have been a winter baby. You take many naps in your stroller and you've even started rubbing your eyes when you are sleepy.
You are SO ticklish on your tummy and back you can barely stand it when anyone touches you there and you are still the noisiest eater in the world!
You still sleep in a mini crib next to our bed because " down the hall" is still too far away for mama to bear. I LOVE looking at you while you sleep with your little arms crossed to support your head and your Angelina Jolie lips open and puckered sucking an imaginary ta ta in your dreams! You always end up diagonal somehow...I guess you like it that way!
Yesterday I was feeding you and you just stopped, stared at me and gave me the biggest smile I've ever seen as if to say, "hey, I know you!" and it brought tears to my eyes to know that we have a healthy, happy, beautiful baby girl to call our own for the rest of our days. Thank you so much Nora for being such a wonderful little baby and I can't even wait until tomororw...and the next day........and the day after that....So happy to be your mama!
