Today I was listening to the radio and a little girl named Jade called in. She said, " My parents named me Jade because I'm a princess." Then the announcer was asking her some questions and he said, " What's your dad's name?" She paused for a LONG time and then said, " I don't know, I just call him dad."

Also, yesterday my mom and I were at a store and my moms purchase was $19.26. She gave the lady $50.26.
The lady GOT OUT A CALCULATOR to figure out the change.

That's all I have to say about that.

A man is back in Spain.

Also, I couldn't possibly eat at Hacienda again.

So far so good, but vacation always goes WAY too fast. Antonio has to go back to Spain tomorrow, but luckily I have three more weeks! Yipee.

Did you hear about the plane crash in Madrid?? Yikes. Nice to know we always fly spaniar........

just breathe

i feel like we have been going non-stop. i'm also in denial that on Thur it will be two weeks since our U.S.A. arrival. how is that even possible? i honestly have no idea.

we got into chicago on thur aug 7th, spent the night and left for IN on the train the next day. we got there Fri night, went to bed and left Sat morn for an early morn flight to CT. arrived in CT rented a car and drove several hours to cape cod. on cape cod we were kind of stable for the week and then a week later we drove to CT for a few days to stay with the bro. THEN A and i took the 1 hour 40 min train ride to NYC for the day. (we are too cheap to pay for a hotel room). THEN we took a flight back to IN (here i sit at my parents home). finally. it's crazy how you wait for something so long and then the time passes too fast. it really is a shame. gotta make the best of it! i already miss my adorable nephew like crazy. he's the best.

i've been eating WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too much thats for dang sure.

tonite i saw my bff and my auntie. life is good.

A and  I took the 1 hour 40 min train ride to NYC today.

NYC= hot. ethnic. fun. sweaty. smells. crowded and hot.

my favorite part of the day was when the lady in front of me pulled a marilyn monroe. there are these air ducts on the ground and her skirt blew up over her head. nice undies...that could have been me.

i didn't hear english all day...i think i heard every other language BUT english...cool!

bedtime. auntie sara has to watch charles tomorrow.

I know, I know, it's been awhile, this is the first opp. I've had to get online!

It's been a whirlwind of a trip. We flew into Chicago, had to go to  IN, only to go back to Chicago again and fly to Cape Cod. We just spent a week on the cape and now we are at my bros place in CT until Tues. Tomorrow we are headed to NYC.

I'll give more details later...Aug 11 we celebrated our 1 yr. anniv and lots of other cool things....

i heart not working.

Sorry I haven´t written. I´ve been busy doing a whole lot o´nothing! I love vacation time! I´ve been hanging with my friends and yesterday we went to the pool. I made a ridiculously good carrot cake and I also went through with phase 2 of the haircut! Short, fun, and sassy! Did I ever mention that I HATE to brush my hair..so, this works out quite well.
I FINALLY finished the 2,000 pg. book that I told you about way back when. I´ve been reading it since Dec. Long books are just too big of a committment. I can´t stop reading it although I want to about half way through, but I have to just keep keeping on. Last night I started reading the Kite Runner. Good times, I´m already halfway through. Today I hung out at starbucks, walked around, and then I burnt my arm on the iron. So you see folks, this is my life. THUR we leave for the USA!!

I am officially on summer vacation until Sep 17. FREEDOM!!!!!!!! My last day of summer school was yesterday and this past week had been a breeze. I had the older kids (9 to 11) and it was fantastic. So, last night I went and had a nice dinner with my co-workers and of course ate way too much. I know it sounds silly but I´m so glad that I have friends here now. It has been three years and this is really the first year I feel like I have friends that I can actually call to go do something. It´s hard because back at home I can call lots of people, but here it´s slim pickins. Little by little I will meet and make more friends and my life here in Spain keeps getting better and better and I almost feel like I can call it home.
