bugs.

Well, the princess birthday party was a success. All the decorations were so cute topped with an amazing castle cake and don´t forget the princess piñata!

All the little girls came in princess dresses and I even hired a princess to come in and entertain the little monkey´s for an hour.

She also got a new bike! She loves that thing. I really hope she remembers her special day. (Patting myself on the back).

Things are crazy around these here parts.

I feel like this year has been the year of the bug.

We have termites in our house.

Nora gets worms like every other month.

We have been battling lice since January.

I can´t even really talk about it because I am SO OVER the whole thing. But basically I guess it´s pretty common at school here as there are no school nurses to check heads and parents do not want to take the time to do what needs to be done to get rid of them. I took her to a special salon to get rid of them on a Tue and on a Fri she came back home with one in her head. Needless to say I was very upset.

She has had it twice, both times with just ONE bug in her hair but they lay like 20 nits. Just one asshole bug. So I have spent I do not know how many hours going through her hair with a nit comb.

It´s horrifying and I do not wish it upon anyone. Now she goes to school with her hair in a bun and sopped in tea tree oil (it´s a natural repellant).

So ya, exhausting. It´s times like these I wish I had a boy. ha! Let us hope it is FINALLY gone. It´s literally been since January. I feel like I am an expert on the subject though, so if you have any questions fire away.

I will tell you this: It is  a myth that lice come from dirty kids/hair. On the contrary. It´s easier for them to cling to clean hair. Just FYI.

What else?! Hmm. A has a full time job now so that´s exciting and my job is going well.

That´s the news on the home front.

Stay lice free!
