Any MUST READ pregnancy books/feeding/sleeping books out there you new moms reccomend?
I´m a 35 year old tall white girl from Indiana trying to be a Spaniard...or at least fit in. I moved here in Feb 2005 and I´m still trying to figure out what everyone is saying. Life is too hilarious not to write about it.

Sara!! My favorite favorite life-saver, confidence-builder book has been babywise. I know its controversial, but if you are a little flexible it works WONDERS!! I have since purchased babywise 2, toddlerwise and pottywise. haha. I really really recommend it!
"Solving Your Child's Sleep Problems" by Dr. Richard Ferber. Heather Reed has this posted with her story on her blog. You should read what she said. I think I am planning on getting this book now so I can read it and get a head start!!!!
Sara,
You *must* read "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" by Vicki Iovine. Hilarious - all the things your doctor won't tell you (but your girlfriend's will).
-rachel :o)
(who??? rachel from your days back at purdue... lived in the promise place... saw your blog linked from cindy's... ok all done explaining)
K, I agree, you have to read babywise. Don't be a babywise nazi or people will call you a child abuser. Actually they will probably call you one anyway, but my little boy sleeps 11 hrs a night and has slept through the night since he was 7 wks old. If you would like to sleep all night again before your kids are in school then give it a read. It works.

I will add that you won't use the book that I recommended until your little one is 4-6 months old. Until then, they let you know exactly what they need - day or night. :) Maybe you'll get lucky and your little one will sleep thru the night from the very beginning! Good luck!
