sling box

My friends dad was telling me that there is this thing called a sling box. I could hook it up to my parents house in IN and then watch American TV here in Spain. Is this true? Why didn´t anyone tell me this 3 years ago? If it is true.......I´ve just died and gone to heaven. I want my MTV! How can I live without shows like Rock of Love and Scott Baio is 40 and single?
